Hiram, Ohio 6-23-15Vechery Racing/Never Sleep DesignsCasey Martin took home tenth place overall finish and Ronnie Higgeron finished 12th  overall at Sunset Ridge MX in Walnut, IL this past weekend at round six of the Mt. Dew AMA ATV motocross series.
Coming into round six of the series Ronnie Higgerson was looking to bounce back from his bad luck in the mud at the previous round in Indiana. Unfortunately for Higgerson this round in Illinois would look to be a repeat of both moto finishes and Mother Nature’s fury on the second set of motos for the day. In moto number one Higgerson would take his Dasa Powered/TDR Built Honda from a mid-pack start up to the number six spot by the end of the 11 lap race.  Going into the second set of motos the team would do their best to prep the machine for the sudden down pour but unfortunately for Higgerson he would find himself sitting on the side of the track after two laps. The 6-17 moto scores would net a 12th overall finish and leaves Higgerson tied for sixth in points and 13 points out of fifth.

Casey Martin

Casey Martin

Just like the previous round in Indiana, Casey Martin would use his mud racing skills to greatly improve his second moto results. After a 15th place finish in moto one Casey would come out in moto two and race his way into eighth place. With 15-8 moto scores Casey would end up 10th  overall on the day. With four rounds to go Casey currently sits seven points out of tenth place.  “The rain set in for a while before moto two which always makes for an exciting race. I still managed to get a fairly decent start and finished the moto in eigth which gave me 10th overall for the weekend. I still can’t thank the Vecherys enough for allowing me to race for them this year and thank you to all of our sponsors,” said Martin.
Vechery Racing/Never Sleep Designs Satellite support rider Bryce Barber would go on to finish Bryce would go on to finish 10th in Open B and fifth in 450B. Alex Pafford was sidelined this weekend with a wrist injury while Youth rider Tristan Evans went onto finish second overall, sixth overall and 13 overall in his three classes.
