San Bernardino, CA (12/3/2007) — The 2007 Yamaha / ITP Quadcross season concluded this weekend at Glen Helen. As the championship was handed to Darrell Patton for the Open Pro class, it was 4 Stroke Intermediate class racer Justin Roache who walked away with the best award. Every year at the season’s end, Yamaha, GYTR, and ITP give away a brand new YFZ450 accessorized with GYT-R products and ITP tires & wheels, and this year Justin was the lucky recipient.

Location– GLEN HELEN, CA

Class– OPEN PRO ATV

Riders– Darrel Patton, T.J Dietrich

TEAM GOLDEN WEST CYCLE/FLY RACING//YAMAHA riders Darrel Patton and T.J Dietrich went 1–2 at Rnd#11(FINAL ROUND) of the ITP Quadcross Series. Darrel got 1st while T.J got 2nd putting them 1st and 2nd in the Final point standings. Darrel wins his 2nd championship in 2 years! T.J Led the points the last half of the season, but the final round was worth double points and Darrell took advantage of this winning both motos. T.J went 2–2 securing 2nd in the final standings. What makes this even more amazing is that both these riders were riding Yamaha Raptor 700’s against full race 450’s. This gives Golden West Cycle and Yamaha 4 titles in 4 years(J.Schell 04, 05 and D.Patton 06, 07). Both riders were mounted on Laeger/Elka/ITP equipped Yamaha Raptor 700’s. Dear Elka guys,

At the end of the 2006 Texas ATVCCS, I finished runner-up in the State Series in the 4-stroke Amateur Class to a rider racing with Elka Suspension. I noticed how smooth he was through the rough stuff and how I bounced all over the track trying to stay up with him. My goal for 2007 was to win that Championship, so I knew I needed better suspension, and Elka Suspension came to the rescue.

I won my very first race with my new Elka Suspension. This gave me the confidence to win the State championship. The difference between the stock suspension on my Yamaha YFZ450 and Elka is simply amazing. My lap times got faster because I was not as fatigued as I was with stock suspension. John Ilkiw (Elka rep.) and his team are amazing at customer service and the Elka shocks speak for themselves. I also ordered the System 3 steering stabilizer during the summer and it made a world of difference in the handling of my race quad. I can truly say that Elka suspension was a major factor for me winning the 2007 Texas ATV Cross-Country Series State Championship in the 4-stroke amateur class.

Thanks Elka!

Dear Elka,

I am just writing you a quick letter to thank you for your support in 2007. I have been running an Elka shock on my 2007 GSXR 1000 in the AMA Superstock Series as well as the WERA West Series.

It has been quite a successful season. I qualified for all AMA events which I entered and was able to set personal best lap times at Barber Motorsports Park, California Speedway, Infineon Raceway and Laguna Seca while running the Elka Shock! The Elka was easy to adjust for all tracks and seemed to adapt very well to the extremely different types of tracks we raced this season. My compliments to Tige and James at Cyclemall.net for their expertise of the Elka products which was a great help when fine tuning for the tracks we faced each weekend.

I also had my best results ever in the WERA West race series with 3 podiums in 3 races!

I look forward to partnering with Elka in the future and want to thank you for the great support you have shown to make 2007 a successful season!

Sincerely,
Brad Puetz

I hope this mail finds you and Elka well…!!!!!

I thought I would let you know that I was awarded National Colours yesterday. I am only the second quad rider in South Africa to be awarded this honor, the other rider being Cornel De Villiers.

I would not have gotten this award if it was not for your help and everything Elka has done for me. Thank you for everything, you guys are the best in the business.

Thanks again and have a good day further!
