By now you’ve seen the “infamous crash video” from Milford, and if you haven’t you will need to go to www.JeffStambaugh.com . While it didn’t look that cold, riders at Milford were greeted with rain and then snow on Friday and Saturday. The upper limits of the track and nearby mountains turning a wintery white, while below in the parking lot large flakes fell down threatening to make a mess of already muddy conditions. Luckily for the UTV racers, and the Pros on Sunday, the weather did a complete 180 and when from mid-30s and snowing to a pleasant sunny (but chilly) evening Saturday. Unfortunately the weather report had taken it’s toll and there was a small UTV turnout. Classes 1, 2 and 3 all started on the same line at the same time together.

Round four of the 2010 Yamaha/ITP Quadcross series was held at Speedworld MX Park in Surprise, AZ. The first of two visits to the facility for the 2010 season. Speedworld is unique in that they hold the only night races in the Quadcross schedule, mostly to try and overcome the heat of racing in Arizona during the summer months. Temperatures were somewhat mild for this weekends race as the daytime high was about 106 degrees with temps cooling down to the low 90’s when the sun went down. The Speedworld track is fast and smooth with lots of jumps, aggressive passes can be made but the track gets a little one lined so getting a good start is key.

Raphael

(Mirabel ICAR – Montreal, QC, May 28-30, 2010) Thursday afternoon, after a long winter of preparation, Team Archambault Racing was finally ready to start and win the Round 1 of the 2010 Part Canada superbike championship in K&N Amateur Sportbike.

The first day of testing at Mirabel ICAR on May 16th, 2010 really paid off for Raphael Archambault by being first in practice with a time of 1:30.733. During the final practice on Saturday morning prior to qualifying, Raphael Archambault was within a second of the lap record with a time of 1:29.965, only 0.452 behind.

Finally, after 20 minutes of exchanging the pole positon between Raphael Archambault, Joey McRea and Jeremy Hade Precourt, Raphael Archambault grabbed the pole and a new lap record of 1:29.437.

BeauBonsall, CA – MCR/Maxxis Tires’ Beau Baron put in a solid performance to claim second on the Pro podium at round six of the 2010 WORCS series while David Haagsma and Keith Johnson would take the number one and two spots in the Pro-am class and Julie Russell would take the win in the Women’s A class.

On June 5th over 280 entries started at the 42nd annual Tecate SCORE Baja 500 with the expectations to finish the race and hopefully cross the finish line first. The Matlock Racing team once again covered the rough and boulder strewn course in the fastest time for the 3rd year in a row with a time of 10:24:35 with an average speed of 42.15 mph.

This past weekend, two rounds of the Quebec Cup downhill race series were held at Mont-Édouard in Anse-St-Jean, Quebec. Team Lama Cycle riders didn’t disappoint and got ahold of 2 podiums spots with Guillaume Labrie winning the Junior Expert category (with a comanding 10 seconds lead!) while his teammate Yann Gauvin got two 5th place.
