Matlock Racing’s Wayne Matlock, Wes Miller and Josh Caster entered one of SCORE’s most grueling races on March 10, 2012 to finish 2nd spot of the Open Pro Quad class. The entire Matlock Racing team prides itself on being a well prepared Championship winning team. This has been proven with 4 consecutive SCORE Championships in class 25, SCORE’s Open Pro Quad class. As the 2012 season was starting there were some major changes in store for the Matlock team. The biggest change was the help of American Honda once again. This change would require the team leave the TRX700XX behind and move to Honda’s new TRX450ER for the 2012 season. This change in quads would also require changes with other Sponsors and new testing of products.

Yamaha Quad X Series Round 1 & 2 Glen Helen Raceway, Devore, CA 3/10-11/12
Rounds 1 and 2 of the2012 Yamaha Quad X series were held as a double header weekend at Glen Helen Raceway. The weather was unexpectedly warm for the weekend with temps hovering from the mid 70’s to the low 80’s. The track layout was fast but had a couple of tight sections and most riders seemed to like it. The Quad X regulars were also joined by Joe Byrd and Paul Homes, both doing some pre-season testing/training for their respective series’.

Meyreuil, le 15 février 2012 – Le week end du 11 et 12 février dernier a eu lieu la 14ième de l’Enduro Quad de Vassivière (Creuse). Cet enduro qui s’est déroulé dans des conditions climatiques quasi sibériennes comptait une quarantaine de quads Can-Am inscrits dans les 3 catégories (Loisirs, 
Découverte et Expert).
Adrian Mangieu, pilote officiel Can-Am/JPS et vice champion de France de Quad Croos Elite 2011 a accédé à la 2ième marche du podium de la catégorie Expert, avec son DS 450 Xmx, réalisant quatre des meilleurs temps en spéciale sur les huit possibles !
Cette performance laisse augurer une très belle saison 2012!
Malgré ces conditions extrêmes, 46 pilotes ont terminé la course sur 116 pilotes au départ dans la catégorie Expert ! Un très beau palmarès pour Can-Am avec trois quads qui se classent dans les six premiers en catégorie Loisirs et neuf dans les trente-cinq premiers arrivés. Toujours dans la catégorie Loisirs, Bernard Delcambre et Henri Mermety se placent respectivement sur la 1ère et sur la 3ième marche du podium avec leurs Renegade. A noter qu’Olivier Rubino sur Renegade 800 arrive à la 14ième place au scratch.
BRP tient à féliciter ses pilotes et leur Team Manager, Gregory Lassaigne, ainsi que la concession JPS qui participait à l’assistance technique. Nous 
sommes convaincus que ces excellents résultats obtenus en compétition avec le DS 450 X mx auront un impact encore plus positif sur l’image d’excellence de Can-Am auprès des passionnés.
Nous aurons le plaisir de retrouver notre team de course pour la première manche du Championnat de France d’Endurance, au mois de mars prochain.

I finally had time to install the stage one Elka’s on my Spyder. All I can say is HOLY COW! It’s a completely different machine. I could not be more happy right now.
We had 45 mph gust yesterday, I put about 80 miles on before installing them, and about 30 after. Even the “bucking” from the wind was gone completely. I don’t even feel small bumps, and the handling is incredible.
Just wanted to say thanks again for your advice and set up. Between Len at Cowtown USA and the fine folks at Elka Suspension (I contacted them a few times with questions as well), I would highly recommend Cowtown USA and Elka in a heartbeat.
