H&M Motorsports racers David Haagsma (1st), Beau Baron (2nd), & Collins Webster (3rd) swept the WORCS Racing Pro ATV Podium at Sand Hollow Round Five

Bakersfield, CA (4/22/2015)H&M MotorsportsDavid Haagsma topped the Pro ATV podium at round five of the 2015 WORCS Series in Hurricane, UT, while teammate Beau Baron joined him with a solid second with Collins Webster in third. Baron also returned to the podium in the Pro SxS class with a second place finish.

Sand Hollow State Park played host for this round and included one of the most challenging courses of the season, with a true off-road style course with laps that were double the length of a typical WORCS race and a variety of terrain, including some pavement areas, sand dunes and rock beds.

The tough conditions didn’t hold back David Haagsma as he grabbed the Pro ATV holeshot. “My Sparks engine fired right up and my Maxxis tires really hooked. We grooved them so we would get even more traction in the sand,” – said Haagsma.

Once out front, Haagsma led from start to finish for his second straight win of the season. “It was really rough out there but my Roll Design/Elka suspension helped keep me out front. It feels great to get another win. I have been practicing, and I am really pumped for the next round,” – said Haagsma.

Beau Baron, who suffered a shoulder injury just three weeks prior at Lake Havasu, was looking much stronger and was in the number four spot off the start. “My shoulder wasn’t broken, so it is feeling a lot better, so I went out there and gave it my all,” – said Baron.

The last half of the race was interesting for Baron. At the midway point, he was able to take over second place, but while racing he was also stung by a bee, which he is allergic to. Despite the sting, Baron was able to hold onto the second spot at the checkered flag. “I’m stoked with second place. It was rough out there and my Roll Design/Elka suspension really soaked it up and my Maxxis Tires had good traction even in the sand,” – said Baron.

Round six of the 2015 WORCS series will have the team heading back to Cedar City, Utah on May 22-24, where David Haagsma and Beau Baron will be going for the podium.
