The Dirt Series launched its 2017 season last weekend at the Glen Helen Raceway in California. Competing in the UTV Open 800 class was Elka sponsored driver Casey Sims.
The class was featured in two races on Sunday and both of them offered great starts with all 6 drivers in the race competing for first position in the first few turns of the track. Managing to stay out of a collision in the first race and driving hard to keep its position on the track during the second race, Casey Sims was able to finish 2nd in both races for an overall 2nd place for the weekend.
Plenty more racing coming this season for Sims 188 Racing, with their next event at the Honolulu Hills Raceway in Taft, CA, for round 3 of WORCS.
