I have had the pleasure of running your suspension for a number of years on both my sport quad and my utility quad. As i am in my late 30’s and have had alot of injuries i needed to find something that would allow me to ride to my full potential. From the beginning with stage 3 shocks on my race quad to now having the stage 5 on my ulilty quad your suspension has always made the ride enjoyable and made me a better rider. I tell everyone that you dont no how bad your shocks are till you try Elkas and everyone that tries them are blown away. I gave up racing at the end of 2011 and bought a 2012 outlander 1000 (biggest and heaviest quad around) and thought it was the end of the fast paced riding and jumping. Right after i bought the quad i grabbed a set of stage 4 shocks for it. The minute I strapped them on i knew this was going to change the limitations of a big heavy 4×4 quad. I found myself blazing through trails at high speeds, hitting up to 52′ jumps and skipped over whoops like they werent there. photo 2After putting 1500miles on them in 8 months Elka came out with the stage 5 and i had to have them. I was not expecting much because in my mind the ride quality could not get better then what i had. First ride blew me away !! I was told there was double the flow and they reacted twice as fast as the stage4’s and you were right. With a single click of any adjustment your suspension is noticably different and know matter what terrain im riding on i feel like im floating. The confidence the shocks give me is mind blowing and allow you to do stuff that most people say is impossible because its a “work” quad. With a quick preload adjustment i can get it to sit a bit higher to acomidate the big mud tires then easily bring the ride hieght down again for trail tires. A common problem with the bigger quads is body roll while hard braking or coming into turns. With these stage 5 shocks the roll is almost completly removed and you can power into turns and aggressivaly brake while still in complete control. I launch my quad on mx tracks and go from 20′ – 52′ and land just as soft as on a 400lb machine. The suprize to me was when riding in mudbogs or just playing in the deep stuff with 29.5″ tires. Having the elkas responding so fast during compression and rebound i found that I was able to more through the mud alot quicker. The shocks were keepng the tires on the ground while plowing through unever rutted up areas.
