David Scott and Danny Prather Best in the Desert Report

Ramona, CA (02/22/2015) – CT Racing’s David Scott and Danny Prather battled hard in the BITD UTV World Championship round of the 2015 Best in the Desert series that was held in Laughlin, NV, and finished in second place despite a brutal course and dusty conditions.
The southern Nevada race location for round two of the 2015 BITD series saw good weather and mild temps in the morning for the quad and motorcycle races that kicked off at 7:00am shortly after sunrise.
For BITD UTV World Championship, the pro quads and pro motorcycles all started at the same time, which made things interesting, but a little better for all involved. It was a dead engine start and it took a couple of kicks for the #Q1 quad to start, putting Danny Prather in the number four position off the start.

Once I got the quad going, our CT engine was running strong and I went from fourth to second place,” said Prather.
Prather completed three laps before handing the quad over to his teammate, David Scott. Once David Scott took over he held the number two spot and in his three laps, closed the gap on the leaders before handing the quad back to Prather for the final laps of the race. “We closed in but on the final lap, we got into this really dusty area and I couldn’t see, so I had to back it off a bit,” said Prather who settled in for a second place finish.
“Overall it was a really fun race. The course was fast and there were a couple rough spots but we were still able to lap about 30 motorcycles out there. We didn’t really have any issues, our Maxxis Tires and Tire Balls worked great out there and our Elka/Roll Design suspension was awesome. We plan to kick it up a notch for the next race, so we can get that win,” said Prather.
The CT Racing team will have a couple month break before the Silver State 300 outside of North Las Vegas, NV in May, and the four time champions will be going for the win to defend their Pro Championship.
