ALREADY SPRUNG FOR YOUR WEIGHT AND VEHICLE
Most of our off-road shock absorbers use multi-spring set-ups that are adapted for each vehicle’s geometry. A combination of many factors, such as the length and strength of the springs and the design of the crossover spring spacers, can be altered to precisely achieve the desired progression of the spring rate throughout the stroke. By controlling this progression, our engineers can highlight some aspects of the handling or reduce undesirable aspects inherent to the design of the vehicle. That’s why our suspension can feel very plush without bottoming out and while reducing body roll and excessive weight transfers.
WHAT IT MEANS FOR YOU
With Elka Suspension, you get the exact spring configuration that is optimal for your vehicle’s geometry, your weight (including additional payload) and riding type. Racers and sports riders can get a responsive ride without bottoming out, and recreational riders can enjoy a comfortable ride with improved handling.
BENEFITS FOR THE RIDER
- No need to figure out the required spring configuration
- No need to purchase springs separately
- Spring set-up is tuned for the vehicle’s geometry
- Spring rate is adapted to the rider’s weight
HELPS REDUCE BODY ROLL AND EXCESSIVE WEIGHT TRANSFERS
Most manufacturers supply very soft spring rates on their vehicles to provide a more comfortable ride, often resulting in excessive weight transfers and body roll. Our progressive multi-spring configurations can provide a comfortable ride without bottoming out, body roll or excessive weight transfer by having a soft portion of travel that becomes gradually stiffer deeper into the wheel travel. |
