THE PROPER DAMPING FOR YOUR RIDING TYPE
The valving is the combination of a piston and an assortment of shims stacked over the piston that is controlling the oil flow inside the shock absorber. By altering the diameter and thickness and the shims, we can customize the hydraulic resistance according to the velocity at which the oil flows through the piston. Each riding type or racing discipline has its own requirements in terms of hydraulic resistance. For example, a racer on a motocross track will require more resistance in high-speed compression to prevent bottoming out on big jumps, but a desert rider will need less resistance in high-speed to allow the wheels to soak up the obstacles. With Elka Suspension, you get the customized valving that will suit your needs.
WHAT IT MEANS FOR YOU
