With only two races left to the 2018 season and a raging Championship battle between Elka’s Joel Hetrick and Yamaha’s Chad Wienen, the Redbud race was going to be of the utmost importance! Mud and rain were part of the action along with a surprise on top of the podium!
Hetrick ended the weekend with a 2-2 finish in Moto 1 and Moto 2, good for the 2nd overall position of the weekend. So far this season, all races were won either by Hetrick or Wienen, but this time around Thomas Brown got the overall win a 3-1 Moto results. Wienen completed the podium with a 1-4 result.
With this 2nd overall, Hetrick now increases his points lead to 351 vs 341 for Wienen, heading to the season final race at Loretta Lynn Ranch on August 11-12.
