Boucherville, May 25th, 2011 – For Immediate Release

Last weekend was held the tenth edition of the now famous 12 Hours Endurance Race of La Tuque, named after the host town located in Northern East of Canada in the Province of Quebec. The event was a great success on all aspects with about 15 000 visitors were there to cheer not only their local riders, but also American, French and German riders who put on quite a show. Despite all this talent, it was local rider Marc-Antoine Auger who managed to get the fastest lap time of the weekend, proving to all that the local riders have what it takes to race along the best international riders.

This difficult, action-filled and unpredictable race is becoming known as one of the “most difficult race” and poised to deserve a place amongst the other famous ATV events on the planet such as the SCORE Baja Series, the 12 Hours of Pont-De-Vaux and other great challenges. The racers enjoy the event which demonstrates every year a fine-tuned, first-class organization, thanks to the numerous volunteers and experienced leaders. The track is also quite a challenge for the riders and their machines. In fact, mechanical problems played a huge role in the results this year as several favorite teams suffered from breakdowns, forcing them to do emergency repairs.

Such an epic race requires a thorough preparation combined with a solid and efficient team, that’s why we have paired international racers with local teams from Quebec. Therefore, Dustin Nelson (2010 ITP QuadCross Champion, USA) shared his experience with Jean-Philippe Leblanc and Marc-Antoine Auger on team Yamaha/G-Force/Elka who prepared quite a race machine for them. Young german rider Maximilian Freund (German GNCC Champion) was racing on team Can-Am Performance NC Elka with local Eric Lamontagne and Jean-Sébastien Côté. This pairing experience had proved beneficial for both local teams and their guest riders, which leads us to repeat the experience next year. Teams interested to be paired as well as available riders can contact Elka Suspension’s marketing department as soon as possible, as opportunities are limited.

Elka Suspension Inc. is a proud partner of this major event. We challenge you to come next year and measure your talent and dedication against the best teams and riders from all over the world to make 2012 an ever more epic edition.

Sincerely,

Martin Lamoureux, President
