Pro WORCS racer get two podiums in ATV and SXS on the same weekend

This past weekend was held round #6 of the WORCS Series at On The Edge Raceway in Utah, a new location for the series. With temperatures soaring above 100 degrees, simply finishing the race was an incredible accomplishment. Beau Baron not only raced to 2nd place in the Pro ATV class, he also won the Production 1000 class in the Side-By-Side class with a 90 seconds lead.

Baron had a great race and everything worked out perfectly on his vehicle. Prior to the race, Beau had made some modifications to his vehicle which were key to his victory. “We relocated the radiator and installed a bigger fan to prevent overheating, an issue we had in previous rounds.” said Baron, who is now only one point off of second place in the overall standings.

Baron’s long-time sponsor Elka Suspension was also another key to his victory by providing him with their latest calibration of the Stage 4 shocks. Elka technicians had thoroughly tested this new setup over a few days at Racetown 395 in Adelanto in preparation for round 4 at Speedworld. After the tests, Baron commented: “We definitely made some huge leaps and bounds as far as valvings and spring setups. We now have the vehicle sitting flat through the corners and I am able to keep it flat out through the bigger whoops, exactly what I needed to go faster.”

With this victory and Anderson’s DNF, Beau Baron is now sitting in second position overall with high hopes of taking home the championship title for the series. WORCS Series take a break for the summer and will resume in August in Anza, CA where Beau feels right at home.

Elka Suspension’s President Martin Lamoureux and all his staff would like to congratulate Beau for his victory and for his tremendous tenacity for racing 2 events on the same weekend.
