This last weekend, Team Dunbar/Elka headed over for a small race on the Island Cup which ended up being an awesome track with awesome weather all weekend.
The first 90 % of Vet. Men headed down with a dry track, however anyone after the 43# plate and higher got to race in a track covered in hail and rain. Remi Gauvin went down and was pretty much the last rider down before it started to hail super hard. Dean Tennant managed to still pull out a great time and believes he would have gotten sub 2 minutes without the hail.
The track was pretty sketchy but everyone on the team still managed to put together good runs.
Next weekend, the whole Team is headed to Kamloops for the first BC Cup and some more podiums!
