Going into Briar Cliff MX Tyler Hamrick had high hopes for a stellar weekend and he did just that. Since Hamrick was 10th in last years pro point standings he had the opportunity of being placed on the Moto Tees event t shirt for Briar Cliff’s inaugural ATVA National. This was huge being that the race was in Ohio and lots of Tyler’s family and friends were in attendance.
Saturday morning he hit the track for Pro timed Qualifying and ended up 9th not far off the top pros times.
In the first Pro moto Hamrick ran a consistent race and finished inside the top 10 in 8th. The second Pro moto looked very similar, Tyler came out about jus behind the top 5 where he would run for a little while until he would fall to 9th and that’s where he finished. It gave him a 8th overall his best ever Pro finish and moved him into 9th for Pro points.

With the home crowd in attendance Tyler was more then ready to hit the track for the first moto. He came out about 5 made some quick passed into 3rd and by the 2nd lap he was starting to put a gap on the rest of the field. He got himself a comfortable lead and would ride that out to the checkers. Moto 2 of Pro Am was epic to say the least. Tyler came out in the mix of all the top hitters looking to get the overall and on the podium. Hamrick battled it out with Cam Covil & Jeffery Rastrelli swapping positions in the top the entire moto. It was on the 7th lap when Tyler put himself into 2nd setting him up for his first 1st place of the year in the Pro Am class and bumping him up to 2nd place in points. Hopefully Tyler can keep the mojo rolling into Millville where he will try to repeat his performance at Briar Cliff.
Tyler would like to thank his Mom&Dad, Mallory, Vechery Racing and all of his sponsors helping out this season.
