I had a great six week break. I rode and was working out a lot. I went to spend a week down at the “Jeremiah Jones Compound”. He really helped me figure out my starts, and I felt that was the one thing holding me back from being up front every moto. My results really showed this weekend. I owe a huge “Thank You” to Jeremiah Jones and my brother for all their dedication to helping me.
The weekend at high point didn’t start off the best when we arrived it was pouring. It continued raining until Friday morning everyone there only got two rounds of practice if they were lucky.
Saturday went awesome for me, the first moto was 90 shifter (12-15). I had a great jump off the gate, but when I went to shift up to third I hit false neutral and got last off the holeshot. I worked my way up to fourth for that moto. In 90 open sr. I got second off the holeshot and I quickly got around first place then I made a few mistakes and 2nd got back around me and we battle for the whole moto. All through I finished second that was probably my best moto so far. And wow what fun it was. The supermini moto was okay I came out of the gate top five and battled for fourth the whole moto and I ended up fifth.
Sunday was awesome! In 90 Shifter (12-15) I got second off the gate and had a great battle with Peyton Zimmerman # 721 we went back and forth for the whole race and he just finished ahead of me. In 90 open Sr. I got top five off the holeshot made some passes and finished third in the moto. Supermini was the best weekend I’ve had I got sixth off the gate made one pass and finished the race in fifth. I got second overall for 90 Shifter (12-15). I took a third overall in 90 open Sr. The weekend went great. I finished in the top five in all three of my classes.
