Hiram, Ohio 6-5-14: Rounds 3 and 4 of the Mtn Dew AMA ATV Motocross series saw a lot of ups and downs for the Vechery Racing Team as a practice crash leading up to Round 3 at High Point Raceway left Scottie Vechery on the sidelines with a broken upper jaw and a few missing teeth. Also at Round 3, Pro Rider Tim Dettling decided to sit out the weekend after timed qualifying. “I’m just not where I need to be physically after breaking my leg to be out here racing with these guys. I hate to disappoint my team and all of our great sponsors but I need to get some more seat time in before we head to Briarcliff for my home race.” said Dettling.
On a positive note Tyler Hamrick was able to secure a pair of top 4 finishes in the highly contested Pro-Am class taking 3rd overall at High Point Raceway with a 2nd place finish in Moto 2 and 4th overall at Sunset Ridge MX. After 4 rounds Tyler sits 3rd overall in points and five points out of second. Tyler hopes to gain some ground on first place in points at his home race at Briarcliff MX.

Tyler PodiumVechery Racing/Never Sleep Designs Satellite support rider Dan Hoisington rebounded nicely at Sunset Ridge taking the overall win in College 16-24 and maintaining his point lead going into round 5. In 450A Dan backed up his performance with a 4th overall and now sets 3rd overall in points. After a rough two days at High Point, Alex Pafford decided to make the leap to three classes at Sunset Ridge and the extra seat time rewarded Alex with three top ten finishes in Super Mini, Schoolboy Jr Open and Schoolboy Sr. Senior class racer Dave Schrock secured three top ten finishes in 40+ and 30+C.
Vechery Racing heads to their much anticipated home race on June 14th for the Built Ford Tough National at Briarcliff MX. Be sure to follow Vechery Racing on Twitter and Instagram as well as Facebook for all of the team updates and results.
