Atascadero, CA (11/16/2020) – CST’s Beau Baron finished second in the Pro ATV portion of the WORCS racing weekend in Primm, NV. He now needs only finish in the top five in the next race to clinch the championship. Baron also earned his third consecutive victory in the Motorcycle 30+ A class.

The racing weekend was unique for this season pairing the ATV and motorcycle classes in one weekend. The races were held on the off-road/motocross course in the desert adjacent to Buffalo Bill’s Resort and Casino.

In the ATV race, Baron took the lead on the first lap and held the point for most of the race. He fell to second after making the competitive decision to allow another competitor to pass. The second-place finish marked Baron’s sixth podium of the season.

“I saw him coming and I decided to let him past so he wouldn’t end up crashing me or taking me out,” said Baron. “The championship is the most important thing right now. Once he got past me, I started feeling in the zone. I was really happy for that even though I didn’t win. Now I go on to Havasu!”

Baron selected “old school” CST tires for the event to deal with the deep sand. Heavy chop caused by ATVs and motorcycles running on the same course was easily tamed by his Roll Design-tuned Elka suspension.

“I ran the CST Pulse because the knobs are a lot taller,” said Baron. “I figured they would work better in the sand and they did. I will run the same setup at Havasu. The jumps were huge and Doug Roll did a great job getting us tuned up with the setup on the shocks and the Elka’s worked great.”

The motorcycle race turned into something akin to a Sunday afternoon at home for Baron. After starting second, he quickly took the lead and cruised to victory.

“My dirt bike was rad,” said Baron. “At home most of the riding I do on my dirt bike is in the sand so it was a good weekend for me.”

Along with being in contention for the ATV title, Baron is also leading the SXS Pro Stock points. He will finish out the SXS racing season here November 20-22 during the SXS World Finals. The season finale for the ATVs and motorcycles is scheduled for December 4-6 in Lake Havasu City, AZ.
