Bonsall, CA (8/25/2011) – MCR/Maxxis Tire’s Beau Baron came on strong at round number six of the 2011 WORCS series, taking a podium finish, while teammate David Haagsma would round out the top five in the pro class.

The last time Beau Baron raced at Washougal was when he was still on two wheels and he was looking forward to returning to the track in Washington State to race through the trees and on the national caliber motocross track. The track conditions and weather were ideal and allowed Baron to charge his way to the podium.

Baron was in second place off the start and made quick work of Josh Frederick on the motocross track, taking the lead just a few turns into the first lap. Baron was holding a solid lead and looked fast and consistent as he stayed out front for half of the race. Baron stopped to pit at the mid-way point and fell back to third. Baron remounted a charge and worked his way back to second quickly, but was unable to make up enough time to take back the lead, giving him second place on the Pro podium.

“The motocross section of the track was good and it allowed me to get out front early and lead for a good part of the race,” said Baron, who is currently third in the pro points chase.
