Yokley Racing Maintains the Points Lead with a Podium

Pro Turbo SxS UTV Report * XC-1 * Mission Impossible * IXCR

Attica, IN (August 5, 2023) Dodging a tornado, the IXCR went forward as scheduled
Saturday with only an hour weather delay. Polaris RZR’s, John Barnes came in as the
IXCR points leader looking to put in a solid finish and maintain the championship lead.
The race was scheduled to start at 6:00PM EST, but dark clouds with heavy rain moved
in at 5:00PM. The local meteorologist spotted tornados, and everyone took shelter.
Prayers were answered as the weather moved through quickly leaving blue skies but with
plenty of mud!

Barnes took off to a rear of the pack start fighting the mud. It was incredibly slick as the
dust berms from the weekend of racing were like ice. The track was one lined. Barnes
commented, “We stayed following the pack. Venturing off the trail was a significant risk
to getting stuck or hitting a white oak.” Barnes watched as fellow competitors dropped
like flies hitting trees trying to run too fast a pace.

The event was titled, “Mission Impossible”. However, for RZR, the “mission” was
possible as Barnes put in quite a comeback. Patience showed to be the smart play as
Barnes made it up to second by the checkers.

The team maintains the points lead as they look for a championship.
