Polaris RZR Air Mails the Pro XP onto the Podium Pro Turbo UTV Report XC-1 Pro IXCR

Milton, KY (August 26, 2021) Milton sits on the Ohio River just outside Louisville, KY.
Named Whiskey River, the area is home to Jim Bean bourbon whiskey. The race venue is
very enjoyable to look at with thousands of acres of farm land, and the famous creek
jump nestled right in the middle. Riders have an option to launch their 1 ton machines
across a creek in hopes of a passing win.

Barnes came into the weekend with a 0 for 3 record of finishing the Whiskey River race.
With hopes of the 4th time being a charm, he fired his RZR off the line to a dismal start of 8

th place in the “land rush” format. He made a couple passes in lap 1 and a few more in
lap 2. Before you knew it, the team was in second.

On the final lap, a half mile before the finish, a rock hit the lower control arm, sending
the RZR out of control off a ravine. With one shot to get out, Barnes floored the Pro XP
over and back onto the trail. With the control arm bent badly and the steering limited, it
was “say your prayers”. Barnes added, “I knew we were a sitting duck. The question was
did we put enough time on the rest of the field to hold a podium spot.” The answer came
in the last two turns as the field motored toward Barnes. Holding his own, he went into
the scoring tent in second and extending the championship points lead.

Barnes commented, I have had my share of DNF’s over the years. This year my focus has
been on patience. If we had to do one more lap, our day and championship hopes would
have been be doomed.” The team did not realize it till they pulled up on the podium, but
the transmission was busted spewing oil onto the platform. The team was able to
overcome a fate that begged for a DNF at a venue that has been not so friendly.

There are 2 races remaining before the champion is named. One race is at the end of
September and the final being in October.
